Bush and Woodstock...

Hi! My nickname is Bush. 

I am 17 years old. 

And I have chosen to present the musician Carlos Santana. 

During holidays, on the TV channel Arte, we have heard a lot about the Woodstock festival which took place from 15 to 17 august 1969. 

It was an iconic gathering of the hippie culture and it welcomed stars of the 60's like Janis Joplin, Ten Years After, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Coker, The Who and Santana. 

I love listening to these artists, and I have chosen to write about Carlos Santana because I think he did the best live concert during this famous festival.

Carlos Santana was born on july 20th 1947 in Mexico.

He began to practice the electric guitar at the age of 8 . 

In 1966, he created his band The Santana Blues Band and they have been remarked in the street and of course they took part in Woodstock in 1969. 

They did the best live of their song Soul Sacrifice. Their music was a mix of salsa and rock.

In 1970's the band has been influenced by psychedelic and jazzy currents but kept a latino and gitano side. 

The same year the group created his best album Abraxas. 

Carlos Santana is one of these musicians who was able to improve his music according to his various influences and experiences. 

He was, thanks to his great career of over 40 years, one of the greatest guitarists of the XXth century. 

One of his biggest song is the famous slow Europa.
