Oceka on E.T...

I will present a film which for me is cult: it's E.T.
More than one of my favorite movies, E.T itself was a revolution in the world of science-fiction movies. 
It tells the story of Elliott, a lonely boy who befriends an extra-terrestrial dubbed "E-T", who is stranded on Earth.
Elliott and his siblings help the extraterrestrial return home while attempting to keep it hidden from their mother and the government.
E.T's cult line is : "E.T phone home".
You must know that E.T was co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Melissa Mathison in 1982.
The concept for E.T was based on an imaginary friend Spielberg invented after his parents' divorce in 1960.
Released by Universal Pictures, E.T was a blockbuster, surpassing Star Wars to become the highest-grossing film of all time. (it's now only the 42nd)
Critics acclaimed it as a timeless story of friendship, and it ranks as the greatest science fiction film ever made in a Rotten Tomatoes survey.
The film was re-released in 1985, and then again in 2002 to celebrate the film's 20th anniversary with altered shots and additional scènes.
The film premiered at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival's closing gala and stayed at the top for 6 weeks.

    I've seen this film so many time when I was a child! It scared me too much, I was crying every night cos I thought E.T was under my bed !

    I don't know why E.T. kinda freaked me out when I was a child, yet he is cute, I really don't understand what the problem was haha ^^

    Do you know that this film has allowed Steven Spielberg to create his own production company, called Amblin Entertainment, whose logo is the Eliott's bike with E.T

    I saw this movie many times and I find it really cool & E.T is a very famous movie, I find quite magical story !

    I never watch E.T but I saw just the five first minutes and the scene when E.T said "E.T phone home".
    I found E.T ugly but this movie seems like funny.

    But I'm agree with you: E.T it's definitely a cult movie! :)
