Game! Game! Game!

Remember The 12 Days of Christmas Christmas Carol???

Explain why this version (dedicated to Holysnail, a former pupil, still a member of The Fellowship of the Blog) is funny.

The most detailed explanation in the comments (taking ALL lyrics into account) will get a wonderful prize!

  3. I think it's funny because he is singing in an Indian accent and it relates to Indian culture, for example when he talks about four harikrishnas. It's funny when he talks about two nosey in-laws because in Indian culture, when a couple get married, the in-laws are very nosey and want to know what the couple get up to! India is very advanced technologically, so they have many IT graduates!

  4. So far, only Paperplane has played (but I'm retaining her answer so that other people can play too!): her answers are quite complete but I think it's possible to be even more comprehensive (which is a "false friend" that doesn't mean what you think at all!!!!)... Come on, play the game!

  5. Mrs P, clearly no one wants to play the game, so how about you let me win ahaha ;)

    1. It might come to that in the end!!!^^ Well, let's give THEM a chance but so far you are the winner. If no one plays before the end of the week, you'll become the official winner!^^

  10. Hahahaha ! Misss, I've just laughed sooo much !
Especially for nosey-in law, so typical of our culture...! the lyrics of the bollywood song, the telemarketers part, the "think the lotus, feel the lotus, DRIVE the lotus", and the "eleven syllables name" which is still an issue for many of my friends.... and of course the insufficient dowry !

Just awesome, when you understand how they are teasing the indian culture. Congrats to Paperplanes who tried !

(By the way, I've seen the video the day you posted it Mrs.P, as I was very curious to know what it was about ! But had a lame connection that day, so it took me 20 mints to watch it and then I couldnt comment !)

Thanks again, and I've shared it on my facebook wall, lol.

    1. I'm so glad you liked it! I found it by total chance when I was looking for Christmas songs on Youtube and just thought I had to use it on the blog and let you know about it!^^
I like the look on the girl's face each time (12) the "insufficient dowry" is mentioned!
