Spoiler alert, in this article by Somethingintheway

Santa Claus doesn’t exist !?!

I write this story reluctantly   because that obliges me  to look back on one of the saddestmemories of my childhood, the sad day where I learnt that  Santa  doesn’t  exist .

I was 8 years old when my mother told me that , that was during a trip by car .
I was with my mother and my grand-mother , and my mother  said to me  the truth ,at this moment I don’t remember if I cried but I think I was a little sad  because I believed  that I wouldn’t have presents anymore .

I’m sorry if ever people who read that still believe  in  Santa Claus but you have to know the truth even if it’s sad .

Another memory, by Sweet Lisa

I remember that day, the day my imagination walked away.
I was about six, playing in the sandbox of my school when one of my brother’s friends came to me and asked “Do you believe in Santa Claus?”
Of course, I answered “yes”…
He laughed at me and he left.
Then, another boy came and asked the same question but this time, I told him I didn’t believe in Father Christmas.
He said “Oh, it’s not fun” and left.
I thought about this all day long.
So when I came back home I interrogated my mother to know if he existed, she asked me “you want the truth of children or the adults truth?”
I said I wanted the real truth so she confessed.
Two years later, in my class, we had to write the way we discovered Father Christmas doesn’t exist so I thought that it was just after this class that the boys showed up and interrogated me about this.

Santa Claus doesn’t exist.
Santa Claus actually is our parents, our family.
But who is supposed to be Father Christmas?
Isn’t he someone who brings presents to make us happy at least one day in the year?
Maybe we should keep on believing in him, because my best gift is with me every day, every night since I was born: my parents.
And who brought them on earth? God?  I don’t think so.
Actually, I don’t know but I’d rather be convinced about someone who can make the reindeers fly and give to everyone the happiness that they deserve.

And now, the first of our Seasonal articles!

The first one, about a childhood memory linked to Christmas time, is by Rider:

I remember when I learnt that Santa Claus did not exist. I was 6 years old . It was in december, 24th ,2002.
At night , I happened to see my mother with different presents , I asked her : "It's for me ?"
She was very strange and stressed. I didn't understand what happened , her answer was: " Yes.. No.. I have to speak with you!"

I saw that my mother wasn't fine.
I sat down, she looked at me and said :" Listen to me Laurianne , Santa Claus doesn't exist , it's me and your dad
that buy your presents , it  is not Santa Claus , I'm sorry but it's the truth.

I cried , I cried . I went in my bedroom , I didn't want to speak anymore . One hour later , I joined  my mother and I said to her :
" I love you mam , it doesn't matter .. Did you give me my presents ?"
She laughed , and said to me :" I love you too my daughter !"
I saw that she was very relieved .

My plans for the future, by SailorGirl

My plans for my future !

Fort the future, I would like to have my baccalaureate for then specialize  in  languages.

For my future, I have two choices :I would like to do my studies in tourism to continue to study the languages and more particulary Spanish.

I would like to travel in Spain because I like so much this language and this country.

Like other choice, and what I would like to do more is to work in early childhood.
Indeed, during the holidays I work in children's outdoor-activity center, I am impassioned by this field

So, I want to work with children for the future
.

So, I would like to go in a Spanish University in order to get a licence then to become primary school teacher.

For an other choice, I would like to go in tourism' school in OrlĂ©ans or other cities..
